A class project where we had to create an infographic for a divulgative magazine, on a double page layout.
The subject I chose was the correlation of bipedalism and encephalization during the evolution process that led to the human form.
I reconstructed four hominin species that I consider represent important stages of that process, and added information about their novel anatomical features, diet, range and time period. Each one was given a color code that represents the change in habitat from dense forests to open grasslands, and also the change in diet.
My thanks to the artists John Gurche and Adrie & Alfons Kennis, the game Ancestors the Humankind Odyssey, and also Roberto Saez on his blog https://nutcrackerman.com/.
I used a new method for the hominin illustrations, and I quite like the results, will work on it.
