Family Ursidae. Eight extant members of the group, roughly to scale with each other.
On the following pictures I illustrated some of the regional varieties and notable color morphs of each species. I guess the malayan bear can come in blonde color too, but found no photographies of it. The polar bear could not afford any peculiar skin or fur color variation, due to the harsh habitat it lives in.
On south asian bears, the norm is black fur and a light chest mark. I seem to remember reading this pattern creates an intimidating display, I guess specially when rearing on their hindlimbs and alongside their neck mane of long fur or loose skin that exaggerates the size of the body. It makes sense it is the default in regions where they cohabit with tigers.
